Mixed curly hair more on the african side. It is extremely dry because of me lightening it some many

I have mixed naturally curly hair. Before, I dyed my hair I used to have silky soft curls/hair. My hair is now extremely dry, course and kinky because of lightening/dying my hair alot within the last 6 months. I like to wear my hair out and curly. Are there any hair care products for my hair types where I can get it back healthy and conditioned/mosturized. I don't want anything expensive or from online. I have to wash it everyday so my hair can look good but I know that it is drying it out. Is there anything specifically for curly ethnic mixed hair that is alcohol free which will also enhance my curls instead of making it more dry? I have already tried Patene relaxed and natuaral and that does nothing but dry my hair out. Has anyone been in the same boat as me and how long did it take for your hair to go back to the way it used to be,nice, curly, silky soft manageable hair. Are there any suggestions? Thanks

Yes. A simple yet healthy thing to try is a warm olive oil soak. You heat up some olive oil; being very careful not to let it get too hot (if you do, make sure you wait until it is just warm to the touch). Take some cotton and dab it on your scalp and the rest comb through your air. This may take a few times; such as one time per week. You apply it to dry hair, not hair that has been shampooed. Pin it up and watch a favourite television program, or read a good book. Leave it on for about one hour; or even over night if you can wrap it in a plastic cap. Then shampoo out in the morning or after the hour is up. Just one lather is all you need. You can apply a regular cream rinse or conditioner after as well. Then style as usual.

After a month of this, you will notice a good deal of difference in how your hair behaves and looks.

You should use a natural product made from naturally occuring ingredients such as Herbal Essences Moisture Balancing Shampoo. Another great moisturising shampoo is V05's one. Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Moisturising Shampoo would work for your hair since you say it's damaged. These are all fairly cheap and don't need to be bought online.

I feel you I have the same type of hair. I wash it everyday, but not with shampoo. I think you should do the same. Rinse the products out of your hair with straight up water and no shampoo. Then put in a good conditioner and leave it in for about 5-10 minutes, then rinse it out with warm water and rinse it with cool/cold water to make it shine.

I was in the same situation. I highlighted then dyed my hair and I had to cut about 5"-6" off my hair because of how dry it was. I cut my hair about 3-4 months ago. Right now it's about 2" past my shoulders, and it's very soft but still kind of frizzy. It's getting better though.
